Introduction to the 1946 Impact Campaign
The 1946 Impact Campaign is about connection, conversation and collective healing.
We are engaging with communities around the world to open hearts and minds through honest, compassionate conversations. For decades, mistranslations and misunderstandings of the Bible have fuelled harm, exclusion and the weaponization of faith against LGBTQ+ people.
Our mission is to create spaces where people can unlearn misinformation, explore the truth with openness and begin a journey toward deeper understanding and reconciliation. This campaign is not just about a film; it is about healing, reclaiming narratives and fostering a more inclusive future for everyone..

1946 Impact Campaign: Short Synopsis for Impact Reports
The 1946 Impact Campaign is designed to spark global conversation, healing and deeper understanding. Through screenings, community events and collaborative discussions, we are engaging audiences around the world to explore how a single mistranslation shaped decades of misunderstanding and harm toward LGBTQ+ people. By creating spaces for dialogue, we aim to support unlearning, challenge long-held biases and encourage a more compassionate and informed relationship with faith.
Our approach follows best practices for community-centred distribution and impact storytelling. The 1946 case study from Eventive highlights how the film has already mobilised audiences, built grassroots momentum and fostered meaningful engagement across diverse communities. Resources like Evoke Media’s Indie Distribution Guide reinforce the importance of strategic partnerships, accessible screenings and intentional outreach in amplifying impact and sustaining long-term audience connection.
Together, these tools support the heart of our mission: connecting with people everywhere to open minds, cultivate healing and empower ongoing conversations rooted in truth, dignity and love..
